swallowing

You move with ease
through deep water,
your unseen force
turning round and round,
teasing my soles in passing
as I swim for shore.
There the sandy bottom
heaves you up
into a wall of liquid glass,
scattering sunlight
into swarms of blinding silverfish.
I fall in love with each
of your roaring incarnations
as you wrap your frothing lips
around me
and swallow.
