Vampires

Put some garlic on a string
a clove or two will do
and place it around your neck

Walk the city streets
watch people dressed in polished suits
cool, sharp business attire
shrinking away from you as you pass

Put on your sunglasses
watch the world turn to grey
eliminating distractions so that you can see them

Pasty faced
lengthened secondary cuspids
dribbling black ketchup onto their shirts

Don't dare walk in front of a mirror!

Because then the horror will strike home.
How many people do you think you'll see
before that silvery panel beneath the blue sky?
